چکیده
Methylene blue dye (MB dye) is a harmful contaminant for wastewater streams of industries and to human aquatic life. An ecofriendly sugar templating process was used generate porous bentonite/polydimethylsiloxane (PB) magnetite nanoparticles/bentonite/polydimethylsiloxane (PBNP) composite absorbents remove MB in this study. During the infiltration PDMS solution into template vacuum chamber, bentonite particles were integrated on surface PDMS, structure generated during leaching out water. The characterized using Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) scanning electron microscopy (SEM). absence methyl bond at 2924 cm-1 phenol 3325 FTIR spectra formed membrane proves that food grade completely removed. SEM images confirm porosity achieved as well uniform mixing formation composite. effectively removed from as-prepared absorbent. removal efficiencies PBNP PB ~91% ~85%, respectively. experimental data applied pseudo-first-order (PFO) pseudo-second-order (PSO) kinetic models Dubinin-Radushkevich, Harkins-Jura, Elovich adsorption isotherm. found fit models, results show presence nanoparticles improved significantly.

Organic dye removal from aqueous media by using acid modified Clinoptilolite
Dyes are an important class of pollutants which when discharged into water resources can be toxic to the aquatic environment and cause serious problems for public health. Various treatment technologies such as adsorption are in use. For this reason, clinoptilolite was used as a low-cost adsorbent to remove color from aqueous solution. Clinoptilolite was modified with sulfuric and phosphoric aci...

متن کاملNovel modified magnetic mesopouros silica for rapid and efficient removal of methylene blue dye from aqueous media
This reaserch aims at functionalizing magnetic mesoporous silica with methacrylic acid-3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (Fe3O4@MCM-41@MAA-APTES) applied for removal of methylene blue from aqueous solution. Several variables (such as pH, dye concentration, adsorbent amount and contact time) have been investigated. Under optimum conditions, maximum capacity of 87.71 mg g-1 of MB was obtained for the ...
